Sävsjö Christian School is looking for a school librarian starting in the academic year 26/27. The position is 20%.

Sävsjö Christian School is a primary school with a Christian profile that started in 2001. At Sävsjö Christian School, there are students from preschool class up to grade 9, totaling about 150 students. Here you will meet many wonderful children and young people and work with dedicated staff in a good working environment.

In 2025, a special national initiative for school libraries was launched to increase students' access to school librarian competence, equity, and reading promotion efforts.

You will be involved in building up the school library. It should have a clear educational function whose main task is to contribute to strengthening students' language skills and digital competence through collaboration with teachers, as well as creating a school library for all.

QUALIFICATIONS

We see that you, as an applicant, have a degree in library and information science or another relevant higher education.

To work in a school, a valid extract from the police's criminal record is required. The form can be obtained at http://www.polisen.se (http://www.polisen.se). It usually takes about a week to receive it by mail.
